Worked as an assistant in Professor Chentao Lin's lab at UCLA. Areas of research include studying cryptochromes and plant photoresponses in Arabidopsis plants. Research involved: o Collecting and organizing genetic material o Protein extraction and proteomic analysis via SDS-PAGE o Validating transgenic plants by immunoblotting o Genotyping of genetic material via PCR Worked as an assistant in Professor Chentao Lin's lab at UCLA. Worked as an assistant in Professor Xuebin Liao's lab. Researched the synergistic effects of TLR agonists and HPK1 inhibitors in tandem with CAR-T therapy. Training received: o Learned how to use Glide, a ligand-receptor docking program, to screen for small molecules that are likely to bind to target receptors on a protein of interest. o Trained in protocols for protein crystallography – protein crystallization via vapor diffusion, operation of X-ray diffractometers.
