      Project Engineer As a member of the First Oil Committee gazetted by the Government of Kenya to fast track the development of the crude oil pipeline from the oil fields in Turkana to the export point in Lamu, I am seconded to the Pipeline Project Management Team (PPMT), comprising of discipline Engineers and other industry professionals from Total, Tullow Oil and Africa Oil, as a Project Engineer. Responsibilities include: • Providing pipeline design, engineering and construction knowledge and experience to the project. • Assisting the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer as required to provide project management support; • Coordinating and interfacing between PPMT discipline engineers and both internal PPMT management and 3rd party organisations. • Contributing to technical review of FEED deliverables. • Interfacing with LAPSETT, KPA, survey contractors, ESIA contractor and others to support project requirements. • Liaising and engaging with local authorities and agencies to ensure all technical requirements for all crossings along the pipeline route are met; • Preparation of scopes of work for and supervision of Geotechnical/Geophysical and Topographical Surveys for the pipeline; • Working with the Environmental and Social teams to develop constraint mapping and survey data; • Working with the logistics team to plan site visits and provide input to execution planning and construction planning; • Working with the planning and cost team to update schedules and cost estimates as necessary; • Contributing to quality assurance activities, HAZID and constructability reviews.
