John has a unique approach to new and ongoing projects - it's not about the project, it's about the people also. What he does, works.

Looking for a contract or permanent position. Returned from vacation. Journeys to a variety of places in Australia and other parts of the Globe. Another fantastic experience....thought I'd do it before I died and while the GFC was limiting the number of employment opportunities here and overseas. Looking for a contract or permanent position. The Dale Carnegie Corporation provides Corporate Consultancy and Facilitated Workshops, as well as Professional Development Programs. In July 2005 helped a life long friend prepare a Business Plan to obtain the Dale Carnegie franchise for NSW. The application was successful. Between August 2006 and July 2007 I completed several Dale Carnegie courses and some of their Accreditation programs to become a Dale Carnegie Trainer. These courses totalled 25 business days of professional development, and further enhanced my skills in Leadership, Management, Coaching, Presentations, Facilitation, Consulting and Sales. In April 2008 the incumbent Dale Carnegie Training Sales Manager resigned on short notice. Accepted an interim role to provide Sales Consultancy services. This role was focused on consulting with corporate clients to identify opportunities for companies to prosper through the adequate training and professional development of their staff. Show less

An account with Octet is called a Business Transaction Facility. Exclusive to Octet in Australia, a Business Transaction Facility makes it fast and easy for a business to pay for goods it orders from China. It does away with the need for Letters of Credit, Telegraphic Transfers and any other traditional methods of finance. Researched, identified and commissioned a smart card supplier and a credit card loyalty provider. Also researched, investigated and recommended an application software solution, a software supplier and an outsourced software support group. Responsible for labelling the product - developed the look and feel, the logo and web site. Formed working relationships with the major Australian based logistic companies operating between China and Australia (Toll / Patrick, DHL, Maersk). Show less

Led a team which developed an online, web based music distribution system. The term used by ON was ‘virtual albums’. This was well before iTunes was released, perhaps even envisaged. The project delivered proof of concept (credit card sale downloads from the internet) in early May 2000. Progress was abruptly halted after the venture capitalists withdrew financial support during the dot com crash. Led a team which developed an online, web based music distribution system. Led a team which implemented the CCA Data Centre and Global Help Desk. Was singly responsible for this activity. Over 60 contractors and CCA personnel were under my direct management umbrella. This activity was successfully completed and handed to Ernst & Young for Compliance testing and approval on schedule. Headed a team of 12 made up of people from the IBM Global Systems Support Group and CCA Europe to plan and document processes for the implementation of the CCA Global Help Desk.
