Aimed at delivering student engagement initiatives for the students from the Built Environment Faculty at UNSW. Role: - Oversees and coordinates the activities and administration of the club, and the overall strategy, vision and its financial wellbeing; - Ensures that all tasks necessary for the running of the activities of the society are performed, properly either by doing them or delegating the duties; - Acts as official spokesperson for the club; - Acquaints and briefs each committee member with their function, responsibility, duties and maintain personal contact with them; and - Liaises with Arc and departments of the University where necessary. Key achievements: ✔️ Implemented strategies, managed the team and provided operational guidance in order to reduce indebtedness, raise funds and build the brand image of BESA. ✔️ Acted as the spokesperson and public image of BESA at official UNSW events such as O-Week and careers events, with attendance of up to 200 students. ✔️ Pitched proposals to attain grants of up to $10,000 from UNSW Faculty of Built Environment to enhance student engagement. ✔️ Lead a team of 20 students to run and coordinate student events such as parties, cruises, formal balls, careers events and workshops. ✔️ Acquired 5 sponsors, and negotiated funding of up to $500, with guest speakers attending our events. ✔️ Managed events with budgets of up to $11,000, and turnouts of up to 100 students.
