Dr. Qing Li's Lab in Internal Med-Hematology/OncologyInterested in metabolic reprogramming of pre-leukemia stem cells. I assisted Dr. Gina Ney in the project that explored the metabolic mechanism, such as lowering level of reactive oxygen species and ATP, which grants the pro-survival and quiescent phenotype of the pre-leukemic population. We proposed that this metabolic profile of pre-LSCs are essential to their survival, and disruption of this profile sensitizes them to traditional leukemia treatment.
