Bio
Marceia Cork
I had the pleasure of meeting and teaching Charity while she attended Trinity Washington University. A seasoned practitioner already, Charity solidly demonstrated her ability to wear a lot of hats as a communications professional. I was most impressed by her use of webinars and instructional design to communicate new technologies within an organization. Charity had shared with me that her work environment is one where implementing change and innovative efforts can be a daunting task--communicating changes to more than 5000 employees. I can see Charity seamlessly integrating this talent and her skill set to her work at the U.S. Census Bureau and beyond.
Megan Bartlett
I met Charity when she was serving as a member of Up2Us Sports' Coach Across America program. She was doing her year of service at DC SCORES, one of the premier sports-based youth development organizations in the country, so my expectations for her were high. She exceeded every one. She is energetic and motivated. She's thoughtful about working with youth in underserved communities. She's creative, dynamic and magnetic and the kind of person you want all kids to have in their lives. Most importantly, people listen when she speaks. Not only when she's up in front of a crowd, but when she's contributing to a discussion or explaining the rules of an activity. That's a hard skill to teach and she has it. Combined with the amazing things she has to say, she's a pretty powerful force.
