Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading and working alongside thousands of talented people. Chantal is in a club of one, a league of her own. She has the heart, soul, and brain of an iconic CEO. Chantal is a beautiful blend of innovation and industry knowledge, thoughtfully influencing and leading in all manner of complex situations. She’s intrinsically motivated to the core of her being. She is unquestionably a prime example of the next generation of women leadership in tech. Despite her high accomplishments, she is humble-hearted. As a life-long learner, she’s always striving to grow and achieve. It is my absolute honor to serve Chantal as a CornerstoneX board member.

Ms Chantal Bacon is one of my most gifted and exceptional mentees. We first met at the Summer 2019 G20 Interfaith Forum "Peace, People and Planet" June 7-9 in Tokyo - where I was a Panelist on Security (including refugee challenges, cross-cultural tensions, and social cohesion) and "Combating Human Trafficking and Modern Forms of Slavery". Ms Chantal Bacon who is Canadian with permanent residency in the United States, was a youth delegate attending the G20 Interfaith Forum. From the first time we met and interacted, I was impressed by her determination and commitment from an activist-academic perspective towards upholding social justice in a fast-evolving and innovating global society - where Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its biases take center stage and determine many outcomes of humanity's global futures in often unseen ways. Ms Chantal Bacon is extremely well-read and deeply involved in applied scientific research in the field, fully focused on combating AI bias. I was so impressed by this young scholar that I introduced her to two of my closest colleagues, namely: Professor Craig Calhoun, one of the finest sociologists America had produced, and Rear Admiral Norman Robert Hayes (U.S. Navy - Retired), a consummate intelligence professional with over 30-years service and the first African American Admiral in U.S. Naval Intelligence, who retired as Director Intelligence EUCOM. Both Professor Calhoun and RADM Hayes are equally impressed, as am I, of the future potential of Ms. Chantal Bacon and her invaluable applied-research cobtribution to a rapidly evolving global society.
