I worked for Chantal while I volunteered for the youth program at Divine Infant Parish. During my time there, Chantal effectively organized weekly sessions for the high school aged youth at our parish, as well as weekly sessions for middle school aged youth. She also organized occaisonal retreats, such as day and weekend youth retreats. These sessions involved various games, activities, and lessons designed to be interactive and fun, while educating the youth about the Catholic faith and instilling in them Christian values. Chantal ensured that week to week the various activities were original and fun. Chantal is an excellent leader and role model for her volunteers as well as the youth. She effectively delegated tasks to her volunteers, making sure that all staff were engaged and performing duties according to their likes and skill sets. She is permanently in a good mood and even in stressful circumstances never ceases to praise her volunteers for their good work. As a manager she creates an environment that is fun for staff without sacrificing the importance of hard work and the focus of helping youth. While overseeing the sessions, she always finds time to connect with each of the youth and the bond she is able to form with them is truely amazing. The youth respond very postively to her and the impact she has in their lives is apparant. Chantal is an excellent leader and I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with her and learning from her.
