As the Shared Services Business Coordinator I work through the Wisconsin Early Education Shared Services Network in Dane County. I collaborate with group child care program administrators within Dane County around issues related to enrollment, tuition billing/receiving, per-child cost budgeting, marketing as well as personnel policies related to retention.

As the Director of Little Chicks Learning Academy, a currently UW-affiliated center, I work with a variety of families, children, and staff. It is my responsibility to meet all their needs related to our child care program. I oversee all tours, contracts, and conflict resolution for families. For children, I oversee developing and implementing developmentally appropriate practices and educational plans. In relation to staff, I mentor, evaluate, and guide staff in their teaching practices, abilities to communicate with each other and families, as well as their HR needs. Center-wide, I am responsible for the hiring and training of all staff, practicum students, and interns. I also do all my own office and clerical work. In addition, in my time as Director, I have transitioned my staff to working four tens to allow families longer days, transitioned our center practices to be more in line with nature pedagogy, and successfully led our center to earning national accreditation through NECPA.
