Speaking as a manager, I couldn't ask for a better employee, and speaking as a co-worker, I couldn't ask for someone more dedicated to the effective functioning of the whole organization. Chandra is exceptionally good at day to day logistics, project management, and process optimization both for her own team and for others. During the year she reported to me, I could always rely on her to keep the gears turning and wheels greased. She was always on the lookout for inefficiencies or mismatched processes between teams and frequently took to solving them for herself, often at substantial effort on top of her official duties. For example, she (on her own initiative) built a standardized pipeline for our team to communicate with another one, which reduced workload for the other team substantially without adding any overhead to our own. Chandra is trustworthy and has an excellent work ethic; even under sometimes-extreme load she could be trusted to make sure things got done. I looked to her to run things in my stead when I was out of the office or too busy to handle day to day operations. Think of her as an air traffic controller for the office - someone who can handle immense operational complexity and make it look easy. She'll excel in process-heavy roles or those that involve a lot of cross-functional collaboration with other teams.

I worked next to Chandra for my entire time at Triplebyte (about 18 months). She was an integral part of the Triplebyte writing team and her contributions were essential to our success. When I joined, she’d already spent a month and a half holding the 2-person team together after the original team manager left. Chandra made sure that the daily quotas and deadlines were met, even while the team handled an ever-growing workload with one fewer writer. In the months after I started, she also maintained the team’s operational excellence while our leadership was in flux. Throughout her tenure, she took action to improve every one of our tools. Chandra also shines for her ability to communicate to multiple audiences. Whether she’s reaching out to her team members, writing for the general public, or drafting helpful feedback for aspiring Triplebyte applicants, her messaging is always thoughtful and on point.

I worked with Chandra for two years. Her team lead reported to me, but several projects allowed me to work directly with her. Chandra has a biology background, and the 1st thing that stands out about her as a writer is her technical understanding. Her STEM background gives her an ability to write about technical topics in detail (across areas beyond biology). However, she does this while keeping a focus on the art of crafting words (she brings character and narrative to what she writes). The 2nd thing that stands out about Chandra is her work ethic. Chandra takes ownership, and you can count on her. At one point we had a staffing issue, and Chandra seriously stepped up to keep our product together (and inspired others to do the same). Chandra also made strong contributions to team culture (she brought energy and positivity). Chandra would be an asset to any writing team that can land her.

Airkit is a platform that provides the technical scaffolding to build omni-channel applications. I was their first technical writer. As such, I not only wrote much of their early documentation, I also played a major role in deciding how all Airkit documentation would be structured.- Owned, wrote, and maintained hundreds of reference docs, including 100+ documents on Airkit’s custom programing language, Airscript.- Owned, wrote, and maintained various guides, tutorials, and conceptual documents meant to teach best practices to users with different degrees of technical knowledge.- Collaborated with marketing to write and release blog posts introducing technical features of Airkit to an audience that consisted of both developers and non-technical stakeholders. - Oversaw migration of all technical documentation to ReadMe and wrote Python scripts to programmatically streamline both aspects of the migration and future documentation maintenance. Founding Director of Operations

Apr 2020 - Jan 2021
NewCraft is a seed-stage startup building the infrastructure needed to help people find jobs and access better benefits, compensation, and productivity. As founding director of operations, a core part of my job was iterating on our core product, eventually landing on a simple API for HR to enable developers to build the future of employment. • Built, onboarded, and designed the workflow for an experimental operations team. • Participated in early growth efforts and iterated on means to make job postings go viral through the use of original content. • Researched market. • Owned API documentation for early core product. Triplebyte is a hiring platform for software engineers; they conduct background-blind programming assessments and match software engineers with potential roles based on their performance. I was brought on as a technical writer early into their Series A and was tasked with day-to-day responsibilities including: • Writing company-facing summaries of candidate strengths, weaknesses, background, and personality. This involves organizing information from multiple sources (including resumes, Github repositories, and notes taken by other team members), drawing connections, and summarizing all relevant information into an easy-to-digest format. • Sending personalized feedback emails to both accepted and rejected candidates. • Writing and maintaining profiles of the companies that hire through Triplebyte. Due to the fast-paced nature of startups, I've also had the opportunity to branch out and take on other responsibilities, including: • Writing various internal documents. • Communicating cross-functionally to organize candidate information and assigning day-to-day responsibilities to all members of the writing department. • Onboarding remote interviewers and teaching them how to take thorough notes. • Writing public-facing content, including a blog post on what "DevOps" actually means. • Organizing resources for candidates who take our programming assessments. • Writing public-facing content for social media.
