Dr. Chandra Shekhar Silori was a truly positively influence in my research on grassroots capacity building of REDD plus. Although he was very engaged with his own professional obligations, he always made time to discuss and brainstorm new and innovative approaches to rural community development. Indeed, Chandra’s previous experience as a social ecologist as well as involvement in developing participatory conservation models, networking with the key government agencies, and household level livelihood and poverty analysis were imperative in influencing my research. I am very thankful to have been able to work with Chandra and look forward to doing so again.
