Saving millions of dollars annually, projects have included Age-Adjusted D-Dimer, reducing unnecessary A1C testing, improving transitions of care, better utilization of telemetry, and 4T criteria integration in the EMR, among others.• Educate and plan Internal Medicine rotations for Medical students, PA students, and Podiatry students, ensuring consistency in education standards to drive professional conduct, deliver high-quality patient care, and foster a passion for continuous learning.• Delivered $1.4M in net savings by initiating and executing the Medication History Technician Program, in partnership with the Pharmacy Department, to create 17.5 positions to obtain accurate medication history at the time of patient admission to reduce medication error, improve patient safety, and establish trust among physicians as part of the Quality and Safety Committee.
