Played a crucial role in establishing the residency program; Guides medical education for 30 residents (10 per year). Actively involved in Resident education, including rounding, didactics, and presentations. Recognized for integrating education into the organizational culture.• Spearheaded the Internal Medicine Residency Program initiation, designed curricula, adhered to ACGME guidelines, and created the Resident's Handbook complete with topics to teach medical students, helping to establish a culture shift focused on learning throughout the system. • Created and implemented a system-based multidisciplinary curriculum for the Morbidity & Mortality Conference with participation from stakeholders to identify adverse outcomes, discuss root cause analysis, and drive corrective action, improving patient safety and quality of care delivery every month. • Supervise and facilitate Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Curriculum, including quality improvement projects led by second-year residents. Saving millions of dollars annually, projects have included Age-Adjusted D-Dimer, reducing unnecessary A1C testing, improving transitions of care, better utilization of telemetry, and 4T criteria integration in the EMR, among others.• Educate and plan Internal Medicine rotations for Medical students, PA students, and Podiatry students, ensuring consistency in education standards to drive professional conduct, deliver high-quality patient care, and foster a passion for continuous learning.• Delivered $1.4M in net savings by initiating and executing the Medication History Technician Program, in partnership with the Pharmacy Department, to create 17.5 positions to obtain accurate medication history at the time of patient admission to reduce medication error, improve patient safety, and establish trust among physicians as part of the Quality and Safety Committee.
