Manavi, founded in 1985, is the first South Asian women's rights organization in the United States with a mission of ending violence against women. At Manavi, I provided direct services, community outreach, and programmatic development. Through direct services such as peer support counseling and case management, I advocated for survivors of gender-based violence. Through community outreach, I have established relationships with various community members and reached out to survivors to spread awareness of violence against women and Manavi's work. For programmatic development, I have researched, developed, and submitted grant proposals to federal, state, and private agencies to support and develop Manavi's work.

The Listening Ear, founded in 1969, is the oldest all-volunteer crisis intervention hotline in the United States dedicated to providing support for members of the Capital Area Region of Lansing, MI. At the Listening Ear, I have provided direct services to members in crisis and provide administrative support for the Sexual Assault Counseling program. In addition, I provided support for survivors of sexual assault and was a member of the Capital Area Sexual Assault Response Team.
