I have had the opportunity to work with Chandan for more than a year when he used to lead the product engineering team that was working on developing a self-service big data analytics and machine learning platform. The technical prowess be brings to the table is what has helped the platform being where it is today. I admired his work ethics and always found him to be passionate about data and technology. He often set high standards for himself and his team and showed great commitment in meeting some very high expectations from stakeholders without compromising on quality of his team's work. I found him to be a person with a very balanced view and very good communication skills, especially being very tactful in handling tough situations and conflicts between various teams. Although I have not personally reviewed his day-to-day work, the work done by his team was one of the benchmarks for the company and he was often appreciated by management for his leadership skills. He also took additional responsibilities going above and beyond his role and has helped mentor young data scientists and engineers, guiding them on best practices and sharing his knowledge with them. I would happily recommend him for a technical leadership role especially ones' that involve data engineering, data science, machine learning etc.

His understanding of data science and his ability to break down complex concepts into simple examples is what draws customers' wow towards him.
