Chanchal was hired as a Senior Developer and Architect of an In-house Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) application hosted on AWS cloud within our Data Curation Platform for a Flagship Data Product Genome360 for which i was the Program Director. He is a "One Man Army" and was my Go-to-person for this mission critical application which had multiple clinical workflows, UI to backend integrations, NLP integrations and frequent feature roll-outs and incremental enhancements. He single handedly managed all backend issues, Data Operations and contributed even for UI issues. He is an expert in Python and also have sound knowledge of other Web Technologies and Data bases such as Java, Javascript and Mongo DB. He was very articulate in formation of technical solution and a great ability to pick up business issues and understand requirements and quickly do design gap assessments. Above all, I have seen his suo moto commitment to deliver on time (even on occasions he had some personal priorities running parrellel) and with quality. This attribute of him will definitely take him to places and leaders can trust him to assign any complex data architectural system problems. I wish him all the best and would love to work again anytime. Definitely an A+ from me.

Chanchal and I worked together to evaluate a NLP software platform developed by a third-party for our customer. The software hadn't been updated in at least two years, so one of the biggest challenges was to get it up and running with a very tight deadline. I was the technical leader for the project and Chanchal was the lead developer. I could not have asked for a better collaborator. Since we were both 12 hours apart, we made sure we had an open line of communication at the beginning/end of the day. It was essential that any blockers were communicated so that I could potentially remove them during business hours. Chanchal was essential for the project's success. He ensured that we had the software up and running, as well as the underlying DB, as well as its eventual deployment to an environment that had little to no access to the internet. He showcased his knowledge in both engineering and cloud computing. We got the platform up and running and ready for its successful evaluation.
