• Committee Chair - Relaunch Task Force for APEX/ASTM Event Certifications

  EIC Sustainable Event Standards were launched in 2012 to push the events industry to a more environmentally friendly place. Our recent work relaunched a new and improved version of certifications focusing an approachability and adoption of not just environmental considerations, but also adding in social impact and thriving economic practices too. Stakeholders include event organizers, accommodations, venue, destination, food & beverage, audio/visual, and exhibition. The provisional version of the new standards was launched in September of 2019 and has already driven new certifiers. Show less
