  As part of the Hospitality Exchange Programme (HEP) I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Bilderburg de Bovenste Molen Hotel in the Netherlands as a F&B trainee. Not only did I learn a lot in this time about the hospitality industry but found that the best experience was that of living overseas in a foreign (and cold country) far from my family and friends. I also spent some time as a Military trainer of new compulsory soldier recruits. My time in the army was fun but hard work at times, especially at the start, but I feel it was the making of me from a boy to a young man.
