Fundacion Terrazul is a not for profit organization working with the indigenous children in La Guajira, Colombia. They are focused on producing Spirulina Algae for use as a dietary supplement for the indigenous children to ensure they receive adequate nutrition cheaply and effectively, which Spirulina can provide. I work with the staff to improve designs and construct Spirulina raceways, water filtration, and other requirements; as well as provide technical advice on Information Technology usage and deployment.

As Project Officer my responsibilities encompassed: • Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the administration area, identifying risk areas and developing process solutions including design and implementation of reporting and tracking tools for increased visibility across the organisation. • Utilised version control and digital archiving practices to ensure clarity between current, previous and draft versions of SOPs throughout Administration. • Audited and streamlined processes through work shadowing and direct engagement with staff to remove duplication and inefficiencies. • Developed spreadsheets and databases to track processes and expenditures where exiting practice was hand written, reducing process time and improving clarity of data and reporting. Examples: Office Supplies Purchasing, PSA Fleet purchase and maintenance, payroll subscription receipt balancing. As Media Production Officer I filmed events and edited footage for distribution, catalogued media broadcasts, and digitised analogue media for archiving. As Administration Officer (and reception support) my responsibilities encompassed: • Event and catering management, fleet vehicle management, IT Desktop support (Linux environment) and reporting (advanced Office/Excel). As part of these responsibilities, fully utilising a proprietary database for records maintenance and data collection was critical, to ensure accuracy of records and consistency across the organisation. • Administrative staff training (ASO 1 & 2 duties), database and computer training, and member benefits and holiday home management. • Backfilled the Workcover Administration Officer and Secretary and provided Industrial Library support when required. Served as an Organiser (2007-2009) and Fire Warden (2009-2015)
