      Laboratory Process Control: •Responsible for performing Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories (CCIL) Type “H” “C” and “D”, Petrographic Analysis, annual certification for Main laboratory and Mobile Laboratory. Aggregates: •Coordinate aggregate process control sampling and testing. This Includes Gradations, Flat & Elongated particles and Percent Crushed to ensure the materials is within specifications for the required product or application. Research and Development: •Assist in new pit and quarry investigations through background mineralogy studies and coordinating test pitting programs in the subject areas. Supervising and Teaching: •Teach junior technicians the proper usage of the gauge and core machine, proper techniques for laboratory testing of aggregate and asphaltic materials. Annual Upgrades and Documentation Review: •Review material specifications in tender documents for various Ministry and Municipal contracts. •In-house quality control manual for the laboratory to help ensure that all work done in the laboratory is at its highest standards aspiring towards possible ISO certification. •Review changes to procedures and test methods in ASTM and MTO manuals and upgrade in house testing manuals. •Thorough knowledge of MTO, Metro, Regional and local Municipal specifications are required to keep on top of testing requirements and protocol.
