  Duties to include but not limited to:  Responsible for obtaining complete and accurate demographic and financial information from a variety of sources, including patient interviews, physician offices and in-house departments.  Obtains required signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.  Discusses patient financial situation and reviews different programs available for the patient in order to secure payment.  Collects co-pays and deductibles to help the revenue cycle for the hospital.  Registers patient’s bedside in high stress situations maintaining speed and accuracy.  Verifies Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire for all Medicare patients.  Knowledge of all Federal, State and Local Laws pertaining to insurance rules and regulations.  Maintains multiple computer systems.  Completes all shift duties in a timely and accurate manner.  Identifies Jane/John Doe scenario and how to update information.  Answers telephone calls. Follows pre-established script and provide assistance to callers.
