As the Director of Parks and Recreation I oversee 435 acres of parkland and open space, waterpark, youth sports complex, urban forestry operations, afterschool programs, summer day camp, youth recreational leagues, cultural art programs, sports programming, streetscape, bike/pedestrian paths, facility maintenance and a popular summer concert series. Being a diverse division can be arduous at times; however the positive influence left in those who participated, is extremely rewarding.
