London, United Kingdom I took the Foundation from a redundant, legacy and failing IT and business systems infrastructure to a modern IT, Digital and Enterprise platform, supporting the work of the International Accounting Standards Board and allowing the Foundation to accelerate to the creation of the new International Sustainability Standards Board • Implemented a Cloud first IT strategy base on Azure and Microsoft 365 underpinning a global hybrid operational model for staff. • Built a new digital platform… Show more I took the Foundation from a redundant, legacy and failing IT and business systems infrastructure to a modern IT, Digital and Enterprise platform, supporting the work of the International Accounting Standards Board and allowing the Foundation to accelerate to the creation of the new International Sustainability Standards Board • Implemented a Cloud first IT strategy base on Azure and Microsoft 365 underpinning a global hybrid operational model for staff. • Built a new digital platform providing web, e-commerce, broadcast and engagement service, choosing and implementing the Adobe application stack. • Implemented a Salesforce.com based CRM integrated to give 360-degree view of customers and stakeholders and to underpin key financial business activities integrated to a new Finance system • Built the expertise of my own teams, worked close with a newly established programme office (PMO) and selected key suppliers to build, manage and deliver the project roadmap. • Led successful change management in a change resistant organisation to maximise the benefits of the new platform. • Underpinned the above with cybersecurity practices and processes to ensure business protection, resiliency, and governance. The change program illustrates my ability to be transformational – to deal with BAU whilst defining long term strategy and goals and work incrementally towards those goals. Show less

CDL provides a Cloud based platform to our UK and international customer base. I also manage various security accreditations including ISO27001/9001 and CyberEssentials+ and accreditations to handle government marked material I joined Commerce Decisions in its start-up phase and was part of the leadership team that led it through growth to profit and acquisition by QinetiQ. I have managed the successful implementation and rollout of four generations of the AWARD software. The latest, AWARD 6, using latest technologies and heading into the mobile world, being as exciting as that very first one we put out there - and most importantly customer satisfaction has gone up 25% on all metrics. AWARD is used on the UK's most significant public sector projects and is renowned for its reliability and quality - both for the software and the quality of the Commerce Decisions team that sell, support and implement it. My teams are renowned for taking what we do seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. What our customers say matters to me. One colleague summed it up. “You’re guys are the definition of a team, you are greater than the sum of your parts, you say what you’ll deliver and then you go beyond that” . A partner said to me "I've never heard customers cheering at a user group" after we launched AWARD 6. Of course as good as we are, we do software and software go wrong sometimes - its what you do then that counts too, and so to another customer for whom we were "the first IT organisation I've come across that runs towards the fire not away from it".
