• Developed new schemes to harvest solar energy inspired by natural photosynthesis. • Designed working proofs of concepts of these schemes based on DNA-nanotechnology. • Investigated the role of electronic defects in nanoscale devices and designed experiments whose results are in full agreement with the theory developed. • Proposed a protocol for the manipulation of semiconductor nanostructures with light for building applications relevant to quantum information processing. • Worked on Data science research projects for isaacphysics.org, a project and an educational platform funded by the Ministry of Education and aimed at enhancing problem solving skills in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. During my time at IsaacPhysics I designed machine learning models for predicting/understanding the learning paths followed by students and developed data visualisation tools showing the different levels of engagement of both teachers and students using the platform across UK.
