It is my responsibility to make guests feel welcome and valued. My responsibilities include ticket collection, guiding guests to their seats, carrying out screen tests and checking for fraudulent activity. Other responsibilities include assisting guests with their purchases, dealing with guest complaints, and completing food health and safety checks. There is a very large team within the cinema, which has provided the opportunity to further enhance both my communication and teamwork abilities. Act up front of house GES shifts have increased my confidence in leading others and problem solving.

Past achievements include raising a student’s grade from a predicted D to a B, helping a student achieve a 95% exam result as well as distinction for their coursework, and I have also had the privilege to home-school a pupil in AS-level psychology. By establishihng my own syllabus which matches the examination board I have developed strong time management and organisational skills

It was my responsibility to teach a class of first year psychology students once a week, in seminars of up to twenty students. In support of the students lectures and seminars, I taught and clarified course content, to make sure students fully understood what was being taught on the course. Another main duty was to help students revise for their exams and help them improve the quality of their coursework, by addressing tutor feedback on past assignments, and also by going through report and essay formatting. I also ran workshops on data analysis, including SPSS workshops, which many students struggled with. In addition to this, I frequently assisted students with literature searches, research techniques and appropriate referencing layouts. This role provided me with plenty of opportunity to practice relaying ideas to others, and gave me confident communication skills.
