Bio
Gabriel Gleizer
Cees has been my colleague (and, I could say, mentor) as a PhD candidate and PostDoc of our group at TU Delft. What I always admired about Cees is not only that he is very smart and knowledgeable, but how bold he is when facing challenging problems in Control. He is unafraid of very advanced theory, and just dives into the relevant literature and methods to learn and use them; likewise, when he sees very complicated problems in front of him, he simply goes ahead and tries to solve them instead of looking for simpler problems. I quickly got to admired this stance, and it encouraged me to learn (often with his help) about a lot of advanced, hardcore theory that has been helping me throughout my journey. Another amazing traits of Cees are his immense work ethics, drive and perseverance. Because of all of that, he is truly an inspiring colleague to work with, and certainly one of the most resourceful control researchers I ever met.
