      As a FEM engineer I'm analysing the mechanical integrity of all supporting components of the Lagerwey wind turbines. First of all, this implies an intense cooperation with Lagerwey departments like design engineering and dynamics & loads. Next, either an analytical approach with the help of literature and standards is performed or a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is set-up, processed and accurately verified. Depending on the type of loading exerted on the components, fatigue and extreme post-processing analyses are performed and verified.Finally, a detailed report is written which is used for certification purposes at well known institutes like the Germanischer Lloyd (GL).
