I had the chance to work with Cédric and his team as a mentor during CFA Institute Research Challenge in 2021. For those who are not familiar with it, the research challenge is a competition among teams from different universities to write and present a sell-side research report. It includes market & competitive analysis, ESG analysis, understanding the financial statements, DCF valuation and, finally, investment recommendation. This experience is as close to real life as it gets. There is a tight deadline and the work requires a substantial time commitment on top of the regular student work. Cédric coped very well with the challenge and his team created good report with strong conviction. He was dedicated to give his best, approached the new experience with keen interest, asked the right questions, worked independently, responded well to feedback and worked well with the others in the team. He showed a keen interest in financial modeling. It was easy mentoring him and his work was comprehensive and on time. I would be pleased to work with him again.
