Set Designer
-
Oct 2014 - Dec 2018
I flew over to Glasgow, to follow an opportunity to work as a freelance set- and prop designer for fashion and lifestyle photography. I hand-crafted bespoke props, using only low-budget materials. I was asked to create the sets for a feature in Scottish fashion magazine HopeSt, on the topic of pop culture and super-fans. The feature spread over 9 pages in the magazine, that sold in 29 different countries world-wide.I had the pleasure of working with brands such as Sara Hill Makeup, and Tan-Luxe, as well as some incredibly talented photographers, hair- and makeup artists, and stylists. I look back on this era of my life with great pride.

Product Presentation (VM)
-
Mar 2016 - Feb 2018
I joined the team at Nike Factory Store, at Oslo Fashion Outlet, as a part of the Stockroom team, where my key responsibilities were to process deliveries as they came in, log and organise the stockroom, get replenishment products to the sales floor. I was given the responsibility of overseeing the apparell and accessories, making sure the stockroom was up to date, and well-organised. For my efforts in the stockroom, I was voted as the Yearly MVP by the rest of the team - a reward I wholeheartedly appreciate. Later, I took on the role of the store product presentation athelete (or visual merchandiser), where I was responsible for window displays, product presentation, mannequin dressing and implementation of monthly initiatives. I received training from the lead Visual Merchandiser of Central Europe. In addition to the role of Visual Merchandiser, I assisted the Apparel Coach and category leader, with whom I did weekly reports on what worked and what needed to improve in the various departments. I was responsible for training new staff in till operations, product information, and routines. Summer 2017, I moved on to become part of the Nike Air Team, as an Oslo-based Field Visual Merchandiser, overseeing the Oslo Flagship, as well as shop-in-shops at the largest retailers of sport attire. In addition to participating of the set-up of the Oslo store, I was also a part of the team that set up and prepared the opening of the Nike DTC store in Utrecht, The Netherlands, where I once again worked closely with Region Lead Visual merchandisers.

Norrgavel is a furniture company, focused on creating environmentally friendly furniture made to last. Each piece is designed especially for each individual costumer, and made from materials grown localy in close proximity of the factory in Sweden. My job as a sales representative was to sit down with the customer and set up orders of their new sofa, dining table or more. I created offers, which was translated into orders, which I would then follow up to the factory. Once the delivery was underway, I would then contact the customer to let them know. In addition, the store sold products such as towels, various pots, planters, posters and other decorations - all of which had to be Ecolabeled. I was also given the responsibility of ordering office supplies, and create small product presentations.
