Yinka Shonibare CBE is a world-renowned artist. I worked in his studio as co-ordinator for his residency space; Guest Projects where I curated the residency program, organised Artists Supper Club events, Film Festivals and managed all online presence. Since the lockdown in 2020, due to Covid-19, I designed a new online residency platform: Guest Projects Digital where I created the visual identity and managed the online programme. Y Gallery is a gallery that exhibits contemporary art with a focus on showing critical discourses. I prepared and coordinated the press, exhibitions descriptions for 4 exhibitions in New York and 3 international Art Fairs. I gained great insight into how the gallery structurally functions. I had to take responsibility and independent decisions daily, as I often was in charge of the gallery alone.
