While at NHBGM I was involved in a project on Medicinal Plants and Biodiversity in Madagascar, Malawi and Uganda. The project was funded by International Development Research Centre (IDRC). I was also involved in Malawi Government-funded project on Conservation of Mondia whytei, a medicinal plant and traditional aphrodisiac in Malawi. I was a Malawi focal point for these projects: Plant Resources of Tropical Africa (PROTA) Project (funded by European Union) and Trade in wildlife medicinals in East and Southern Africa (funded by Trade Record Analysis of Flora and Fauna in Commerce (TRAFFIC)), Priority setting for Indigenous fruits selected for domestication by farmers in Malawi (funded by ICRAF).
