Cecilia is an extremely talented PhD candidate and it has been a pleasure to be involved in research based teaching with her. She not only absorbs very fast and is a fast learner, she also inspires the teacher to learn more by constantly asking for more information. Designing experiments, carrying out data collection and detailed data analysis with her is an absolutely rewarding experience, with extremely stimulating discussions. I recommend her highly as she is a perfect team worker and very reliable as a co-worker.

As a KID fellow at Center for Infectious Medicine (CIM) and the institution of Medicine at Karolinska Institute, I have investigated virulence factors of Streptococcus pneumoniae, including different protein constructs of an adhesin and the minor subunit of the gram-positive pilus of S. pneumoniae. These studies were mainly structural, including X-ray crystallography and Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS), as well as biochemical (ELISA, SPR, CD) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). It has also included cloning, protein expression in E. coli and affinity purification, ion exchange purification and size exclusion purification. Apart from the purely laboratory work this position entails, it also includes handling of major data sets, and data analysis. Show less

Res. Engineer in Amelie Eriksson-Karlström ́s group at KTH. This work was assigned to me to finish the project I started as a master thesis student, in order to produce a publication. The work I performed, including production of peptides through chemical synthesis as well as RP- HPLC-purification, characterization through MALDI-TOF MS and ESI- MS. Affinity studies were performed using SPR with a BiacoreTM instrument, were protein stability studies, including serum and cleavage enzymes. Also studies were performed using circular dichroism. The work performed by me in this period, as well as the work I performed during my master thesis project, resulted in a publication. Show less
