Lesley’s specific & dynamic program of community arts work has offered the experiential tools to explore my desire to work with communities of people where collaboration meets art & design to encourage the belief that art heals: • Analyzed a community center for arts education and its success as a collaborative learning environment building community equity. Identified strengths, intentions, and execution plans. Proposed opportunities & pivots to improve social community cohesion outcomes to stakeholders. • Created a process-based workbook to promote mindfulness and lifelong learning for adults through daily art practices utilizing growth mindset. • Developed a proposal to entice and re-introduce adult learners about multi-modal arts. Presented curriculum, budgeting, fundraising, and grant proposal and plan for community engagement • Facilitated a compassion-based art-zine workshop for teenage autistic girls designed to explore a safe, social experience through art expression while fulfilling a mission of accessibility and inclusion.

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a service organization founded close to 125 years ago. Members honor their heritage as well as make a difference in their communities across the country and the world. Paging dates from the early days of the NSDAR when thirteen young women, one from each of the original states, were selected to act as pages during Continental Congress. Today, members between the ages of 18 and 40 are encouraged to serve the State and National Societies as Pages. It is the duty of all pages to be helpful and keep conferences running smoothly in every way possible. They are well versed in protocol, tact, and are noted for their friendliness, enthusiasm, and an inexhaustible supply of energy. Service, courtesy, and common sense are essential to performing their many and varied responsibilities. + 2010 Outstanding Junior + 2010 First Place, American Heritage Committee Contest - Self Designed Needlework
