David was my manager for almost 3 years. He successfully instituted a number of changes in that time frame including: Project Management Plans; manpower tracking and forcasting; skill recognition and development. He helped institute programs for bringing younger people into the group and starting their career development. He helped the Project Managers group develop their internal relationships as well as implementing regular and informative meetings, which had been lacking. David is a well motivated and well organized manager who will tackle the issues that he sees and works through to completion on the tasks set by himself and management. He holds people accountable, as well as coaching them to improve.

David's role on the Masdar project was extremely challenging but I couldn't think of anyone better for the job. He was tasked with integrating the water, waste, and energy utility technologies for a city that was yet to be built -- and not just any city but the most sustainable city in the world! A city that was looking to be zero waste, run on 100% renewable energy, and be carbon neutral. His work involved a steep learning curve for understanding the integration software, the subject matter(s), and the strong personalities and cultural differences that were involved. His job demanded long hours, having political sensitivity and even a healthy dose of cheerleading at times. David always responded to these challenges with 200% effort and an ever present smile. Based on my experience with working along side David, in this stressful environment, I would highly recommend him for work involving any or all of the following: team leadership, collaboration and/or integration, technology know-how, business development, customer relations or political acumen.
