In this seven-week clinical practicum, I furthered my skills in interventions including modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, compression, mechanical cervical traction, cryotherapy, thermotherapy), exercise, gait training, assistive device education/fitting, neuromuscular re-education, functional activities, and manual therapy (passive range of motion, joint mobilization, soft tissue massage) under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Through the software program clinicient, I completed billing and documentation. The patient caseload consisted of about 10-12 patients per day. Utilizing clinical problem solving, I addressed patient goals and desires while relating interventions to functional activities with regressing and progressing as appropriate. Provided patient education on their condition/diagnosis, with an explanation of the "whys" behind treatment interventions. I achieved the advanced intermediate skill level required during this rotation.

During this two-week clinical practicum, I completed rehabilitative services and interventions including modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, compression, mechanical cervical traction, cryotherapy, thermotherapy), exercise, gait training, assistive device education/fitting, neuromuscular re-education, functional activities, and manual therapy (passive range of motion, joint mobilization, soft tissue massage) under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. I utilized critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to apply appropriate patient care with skills learned from class time and feedback from my clinical instructor. Provided patient education on their condition/diagnosis, with an explanation of the "whys" behind treatment interventions. The patient caseload consisted of about 8-10 patients per day.
