  I completed an online virtual internship in Commercial Law. During this internship, I had the opportunity to listen to insights from commercial lawyers at different levels from various firms. I also individually completed a work sample which focused on the processes involved in an acquisition. This was peer-marked so I was able to discuss the sample with another intern and give and receive feedback on the work we had both done.

  I worked remotely with four other students from my university to form a strategy to reduce youth homelessness in Scotland. The programme spanned across five weeks and was held in partnership with Clan Childlaw. During the programme, I researched the causes of youth homelessness and worked with my team to come up with a solution to the problem. As a team, we presented our findings to Clan Childlaw via an online presentation and also produced a business-style written report and a video outlining our solution.

  I undertook one week of work experience at the Glasgow office. For the most part, I worked alongside the corporate team. However, I also shadowed solicitors from the employment law team, the private client team and the litigation department. I was primarily involved in assisting with legal research for solicitors and helping out with other tasks such as proof-reading documents. I was also given the opportunity to sit-in on client meetings and to complete specific tasks designed to mirror the work of the firm.
