  I served as a primary clinician on a multidisciplinary team on one of four adolescent psychiatric units. As an intern, I was responsible for conducting family, group, and individual therapy session while utilizing CBT, MI, crisis interventions and other psychotherapy skills. I also completed biopsychosocial assessments, case management tasks, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries. Trainings around psychotherapy, family therapy, ethics, mandated reporting, mindfullness, culture, and a variety of other topics were provided to all interns as well.

  While interning at the Children's Center of Hamden I had the opportunity to work as one of the clinicians in the Extended Day Treatment Program. Assigned to Green Group (ages 7-11) I conducted group therapy using Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing skills and activities to children with a variety of behavioral and mental health diagnosis. Also during my internship, I had the opportunity to engage in case management activities, school visits, homes visits, intake interviews, and psychiatric consultations.
