      As Director of Clinical Social Work at the Austen Riggs Center, a private, non-profit psychiatric center providing intensive psychodynamic treatment for treatment resistant patients in an open setting therapeutic community, I am responsible for coordinating and administratively managing the provision of clinical social work services throughout ARC’s integrated system of care. I provide direct administrative and clinical supervision for the Center’s clinical social workers who are members of psychodynamic interdisciplinary treatment teams. ARC social workers conduct patient and family assessments; provide family support, education, consultation and family therapy; as well as dynamic casework services for patients, including discharge planning. In addition, I provide direct clinical care to patients and their families. I also provide education and case specific consultations to other clinicians on the medical staff.
