Switchyards is an Atlanta-founded neighborhood workspace club, the first of its kind and one of the rare business models to flourish during the COVID-19 pandemic. We describe our model as a "third space" - not your home or office, but something in between. Members pay a monthly fee for access to all 9 of our work clubs (and counting). It's an ideal model for hybrid workers, freelancers, and folks who don't need a full-time office but deserve something better than a crowded coffee shop. Our goal at Switchyards is to take care of our members and our spaces. That's where I first came in! As a seasoned hospitality expert, my role was to provide friendly service, high quality coffee, and comfortable spaces for our members as they got some great work done. This looked a little different each day, but generally included taking inventory, attending weekly meetings and comparing notes with our leadership team, preparing and serving our signature coffee menu, and monitoring maintenance concerns and contacting the appropriate services for repairs and updates as needed.I led an amazing team of part-time Clubkeeps, and together we facilitated excellent customer service to our club members. It's good to be around people and get good work done.See you around the club! Show less

    • Guest Service Agent
      • Feb 2020 - Dec 2021

Hotel Clermont is a privately owned boutique hotel in the beautiful Poncey-Highland neighborhood of Atlanta. As a guest services agent my primary goal centered on providing hotel guests with a comfortable, positive, and memorable experience at the property. My diverse responsibilities included checking guests in and out of their reservations, arranging personalized amenities, making deliveries, and answering guests' questions in person, via phone, and email. This was a highly technology-based, detail-oriented role and most of my day-to-day responsibilities involved Infor Hospitality Management Software. This property management software keeps track of hotel occupancy, guest profiles, room rates and availability, and a plethora of other vital hotel operations statistics. My expertise in navigating Infor was integral to keeping things running smoothly at the hotel. I also acted as interim Social Media Manager for Hotel Clermont and Tiny Lou's, the hotel's 5 star French-American brasserie, from January - May 2021. My responsibilities included daily content creation and scheduling, interacting with followers across Instagram and Facebook, and assisting the corporate marketing team with event planning and promotional content. • Front Desk Assistant
      • Mar 2019 - Mar 2020

As a counter assistant in a high-volume piercing studio, my responsibilities were both administrative and sales-based. I provided quality customer service by greeting clients and guiding them through our policies and paperwork, as well as helping them make selections from a wide variety of fine jewelry. Virtue and Vice is an Association of Professional Piercers-affiliated studio, and it was also my responsibility to ensure that clients understood our sterilization and safety procedures in compliance with the APP. Other daily tasks included scheduling and confirming appointments, cleaning and organizing the studio, filing client paperwork, and documenting a daily average of $4k in sales. Show less

    • Social Media Manager & Event Planner, Bartender
      • May 2017 - Oct 2018

Through this role, I oversaw daily content creation and communication with patrons, developed company branding, and expanded cafe following on social media by 16% through strategic content scheduling. I scheduled daily posts through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to engage with followers, captured and edited photos, wrote copy, designed simple graphics to share on social media, and maintained timely correspondence with clients via email and the company Facebook account. As the first official Event Planner for the company, I coordinated with local organizations to arrange monthly percentage nights and fundraisers, refurbished pre-existing events, and established and personally hosted a popular monthly tarot card reading session. I also corresponded with representatives from local and regional breweries to plan beer tastings at the cafe, securing promotional graphics and information to create event pages. Prior to serving as the cafe's first Event Manager, I demonstrated superior customer service skills as a barista and bartender from the cafe's opening in June 2015 to January 2019. I gained and utilized extensive knowledge of specialty cocktails, craft beer, and quality coffee and espresso drinks. Working in a high-volume dining establishment honed my time management skills, and my ability to anticipate the needs of others. I still hold a lot of love for craft beer, coffee and board games, and I am happy to share my knowledge and passion for these industries with anyone who is interested. Show less
