Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Canadian women and is the second-leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Our lab’s objective is to identify metabolic strategies to target breast cancers that are harder to treat and are associated with poor outcome in patients. We hope to develop cancer metabolic therapies that could be used in combination with other anti-cancer drugs to improve survival.

I have joined Bollywood For Fun after being invited by Halyma (co-founding member of the dance troupe) in the fall of 2010 after having taken her Bellywood fusion classes. It's a great workout, I get to be silly and have fun while I share my love for this happy and colorful dance style. I've also been invited to give classes for the Continued Learning Program with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, which I have done between 2013 and 2016.
