I worked with Catherine for over six years. Catherine is a real pleasure to work with, and an invaluable team member. She is detail-oriented when necessary, plans extremely well, incredibly reliable, makes excellent contributions to strategic planning and good fun to be with. Her networks are extensive, and she has a great awareness of local and national government politics and policy.

I worked with Catherine on various research projects and during these collaborations truly appreciated her professionalism, know-how, and promptness. Catherine is such an energetic and positive member of the team, that it has been an absolute delight to work with her.

    • Project and Executive Support Officer

In this role I provided high quality, effective, efficient, professional and confidential project and executive support to Professor Bronwyn Harch, who simultaneously held the roles of Deputy Director, Institute for Future Environment and the Assistant Dean Research, Science and Engineering Faculty at the Queensland University of Technology. The role required an ability to anticipate as well as adaptively respond to the challenges of a fast moving and sometimes complex work environment. The DED/ADRI managed a broad array of functions, relationships and responsibilities, which transcend and intersect with both the IFE and the Science and Engineering Faculty (SEF). The DED/ADRI role also has a direct relationship with the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Commercialisation) and with Assistant Deans (Research) within other QUT Faculties. The role is involved in significant engagement, partnership development and high level representational obligations at senior levels of Industry and Government. The Senior Executive Support Officer Executive Support Coordinator role required me to directly and effectively support and assist with the coordination and delivery of the work program of the office of the DED/ADRI and the teams that will reported to that position. I held the position of Executive Assistant to Dr Bronwyn Harch, Chief, CSIRO Computational Informatics Division and was part of the Executive Team that implemented the merger between the ICT and CMIS Divisions in 2014. Prior to those positions, I provided support to the Deputy Chief, CSIRO Mathematics, Informatics and Statistics (CMIS) and also simultaneous support to the Program Manager, Plant Industries and to the Qld State Government State Relationships Manager. I have held a wide range of administrative positions within CSIRO, including Personal Assistant, Office Manager, Project Support Officer, Communications and Administration Assistant and Receptionist. I have worked for and with colleagues across a broad range of research and administration areas within CSIRO and I have built an established network across other government agencies, research and educational institutes and universities.
