The AL/Memory Care Coordinator has the responsibility to provide oversight of care services to residents in Assisted Living and the Special Care Residence and to directly supervise CNA and Personal Caregiver staff. •Management Duties: working under the direction of the Assisted Living and Memory Care Director, responsible for the non-nursing staff for both departments heading a team of 40+ employees serving 70+ residents exceeding goals and expectations within our staffing operating budget. Provides direction and oversight to care staff of Assisted Living and Memory Care Units to assure that each department is operating within the state regulatory guidelines and meets standards established for each department,. •Hire, train, discipline and terminate employees in accordance with company policies. Provide proper orientation and initial training, and ongoing in-service education to meet the needs of staff and regulatory requirements. While at the same time fostering employee growth by creating positive employee relationships and retention of quality personnel. •Work collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary Team to develop and implement changes as needed while problem solving with team members to resolve resident issues and challenges, ensuring that all resident needs are being met, and lastly determining necessary level of care changes as changes in resident condition occur. •Care Services: Identifies problems in resident care and collaborates with the Director of the department for modification of the plan of care while promoting independence and personal dignity. •Identifies changes in resident status that interfere with the ability to meet basic needs and consults with the Director regarding desired patient outcomes and progress or lack of progress toward the outcomes.
