  I provide expertise regarding the proper attire, gear and preparation for Outdoors Incorporated’s customers’ human-powered outdoor recreational experiences, ranging from backpacking and camping to skiing and cycling. As a member of the sales staff, I create displays for each season’s merchandise and clean the store daily. I also restock and organize the sales floor as necessary.   I managed a team of 14 program counselors and 12 additional staff members at the Boy Scouts’ flagship high adventure base. As a member of the camp leadership, I defined responsibilities for program counselors, created daily program schedules, mediated conflicts within groups of participants and within staff, maintained records and inventories, performed day-to-day maintenance tasks, and had general responsibility to ensure that all participants experienced exceptional programming to create a lasting, positive wilderness experience.

  As a program counselor at an interpretive backcountry camp, I depicted ranch life in 1950 as part of a living history program, created lasting wilderness experiences for all participants by creating programs that added to their treks and taught them the history of the land the ranch is located on. I also assisted in resolving conflicts within crews and provided necessary first aid treatment for both the participants and fellow staff members. Upon moving to the apparel department, I assisted customers in the Apparel department, restocked the clothing racks, and cleaned the department before closing each night.
