At Veritas, the Harvard Club of Boston's restaurant, I accommodate members as they dine. Placing their food and beverage orders, I communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions with the back of house. Additionally, I ensure their meals are accurate and up to their standards. Throughout summer 2023, I worked for Boston University's Orientation Office. I worked 5 sessions directly engaging with different groups of up to 30 admitted students. Throughout the 2 day sessions, I served as their introduction to the university. Getting to know students through activities, I engaged with them about opportunities at the school, answered their questions and directed them to appropriate campus resources. At Pavement Coffeehouse, I provided service with a smile to customers getting their morning brew. As a counter employee, I prepared coffee beverages and placed orders on the toast pos ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, I assembled bagel sandwiches efficiently and fulfilled all orders. I took notice of any allergens or orders that needed extra attention and ensured utmost cleanliness in the cafe and foodservice area. I have been employed on and off at Wawa in Ridley Park since I turned 16. Wawa has helped me advance my interpersonal skills and time management. I am proficient in all areas of the store, often running the deli and beverage areas by myself. As a cashier, I have to be quick in ringing up customers and I often have to complete math in my head to provide them with the correct change. I am able to effectively assist customers in ordering and help them fulfill their needs in the store. Wawa is a fast-paced work environment and every shift challenges me to keep up with the needs of others. Show less
