My role as Cobra Project Coordinator carries project and departmental-wide administrative and communicative responsibility. These responsibilities include data collation and software access management, all round project communication and travel administration, alongside personal administration for the Project Manager and Group IT Director. I have organised key, large scale events (internationally and UK based). The breadth of knowledge and experience that I have gained on the Cobra Project is invaluable and continues to grow, I have been lucky to work with a great range of people and have learnt a great deal about communication, people management, team dynamics and how key details can make a startling difference to when and how a deadline is reached. • Fundraising Assistant
      • Jan 2014 - May 2014

During my last year at university I volunteered for the charity Send A Cow and worked as a part of the Fundraising Team. To begin with, my main responsibility was to coordinate the communication and delivery of resources to the 80 supporters running the Bath Half 2014 for Send a Cow. This involved fostering relationships with the supporters over the phone, enquiring about training, encouraging their personal fundraising and to offer resources if required. I also helped source and co-ordinate volunteers on the day of the Bath Half. Whilst working for Send a Cow I created, researched and populated multiple databases to organise supporter communications, potential school-based fundraising opportunities and sporting events willing to advertise Send a Cow's large challenge events. This gave me a wealth of experience with communicating with supporters, businesses and other charities in an efficient and professional manner. Show less

    • Student Ambassador

I have led countless tours around Bath Spa University's campus and its facilities and appeared on student panels to answer questions from large groups of up to 150 prospective students, giving me experience with developing relationships swiftly and talking in-front of both small and large groups of people. I was responsible for carrying out a wide-range of manufacturing and product development jobs, to help create equipment, build an on-line customer database from scratch and build a post-disaster housing solution, called the ‘African Dome Home’. This includes helping to confirm proof of concept by building two domes (Oxford Environmental Centre and Nunnery Wood High School) and leading teams of children to help build the concrete structure, some of which were on harnesses and on scaffolding. • Administrative Assistant
      • Jun 2013 - Jun 2013

The two weeks of work experience I secured at Albany House Surgery gave me experience in a range of administrative skills. I spent my time dealing with patients face to face on reception, allocating and coordinating appointments over the phone and dealing with specific requests. As I was eager to be of use, I dealt with many forms of paperwork and internal organisation; for example, one of my tasks included database cleansing, by removing all outdated temporary and deceased patients' records. This role allowed me to gain office-based experience, as well as develop a confident and professional rapport with patients required in the National Health Service. Show less

    • Youth Facilitator
      • Oct 2012 - Oct 2012

I volunteered as a Youth Facilitator to enable the Green Vision Movement to run the 2012 Youth Climate Summit where school children gather to discuss climate change and current issues displayed in the news. I received valuable training which qualified me to be in charge of large groups of children to facilitate and encourage their conversation without directing it, but to provide answers and examples if needed. I truly enjoyed the days I spent with the children from local schools in Bath and was impressed at how interested, opinionated and knowledgeable they were about current events. This particular voluntary position has given me great experience with children, in terms of encouragement, organisation and accountability. Show less

The welfare and health of customers using the swimming pool was my main responsibility; this required tight team work, training and trust to maintain customer safety. I was in charge of the co-ordination of children’s pool parties, maintenance of the centre and customer care. A small amount of marketing work was also undertaken, involving visiting nearby estates to advertise memberships.
