During my internship I was given a variety of tasks, many of which helped me to gain skills in different areas and expanded my knowledge of the world of corporate events. I used a variety of computer programmes to complete the tasks I was given, such as MailChimp, Sendible, WordPress and Excel. These programmes allowed me to keep the company's social media up-to-date, update contacts with the latest interactive newsletters I created, create interactive blogs and case studies, update their event packages, and input the latest contacts made by Optix. I also attended The Meetings Show 2016, and observed the workings of the different companies there, and later wrote up all the information I collected from the event. Show less

I interned at Warner Brothers in the European Technical Operations Department, specialising in the finance section. I additionally was able to work with different people from other sections of the department over my internship, such as Shipping. During my time at Warner Brothers I was responsible for the organising and distribution of a number of confidential files and documents. I was given documentation of Warner Brother’s venders, invoices, agreements and general information to input into a structured filing system. When in the Finance department I had the duty of the inputting of invoices to send to the director for approving. I used excel to create schedules for the directors of the department, and similarly used excel to calculate costs of the usage of the department's cinema room. This meant that I was given responsibility in aiding the European Technical Operations in its day to day activities, in a variety of different ways after being given basic training on the task.
