• Identified G Protein Coupled Receptor 75 (GPR75) as a target in the development of hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension, utilizing in vitro and ex vivo mammalian cell culture techniques to validate its functional role in the cardiopulmonary system.• Performed cell-based assays (proliferation, apoptosis, viability, siRNA knockdown, gene expression) and bioassays (western blot, ELISA) to elucidate signaling pathways and evaluate effects of GPR75 inhibition in cells and rodent models of pulmonary hypertension. • Assisted in the development and optimization of protocols for primary cell preparations, cell transfections, flow cytometry, proliferation assays, and immunofluorescence for further characterization of targets. • Analyzed, interpreted, and communicated experimental data results to project teams and leads weekly. Provided scientific/technical expertise to collaborators, contributing to 5 peer-reviewed publications; trained junior staff in various techniques: cell culture, tissue harvesting, RT-qPCR, and liquid automation. • Organized and maintained numerous animal colonies for several research projects and maintained multiple primary and immortalized cell lines in culture under aseptic conditions.
