    • Technical Specialist
      • Sep 2019 - Oct 2020

While the role of a Technical Specialist at Apple is primarily to assist guests in troubleshooting their devices, I make it a point to empower guests by educating them about their devices. With knowledge, guests feel more capable of solving their technology issues.

    • Specialist
      • Oct 2016 - Sep 2019

While in this role, I took on many different responsibilities. Early on, I made it a point to learn as much as I possibly could, not only about Apple products, but how the store itself functioned. I learned each and every nuance to the store's visuals and eventual became responsible for teaching others how to keep the store up to the correct standards. In this role, I found myself taking on a teaching role not only with customers, but with my peers as well. When new hires began working in the store, I took on the role of mentor for many of them. • Apple Camp Councilor
      • Jun 2019 - Jul 2019

Over the course of four weeks, I facilitated four different sessions for community kids ages 8-14. Session topics included, Movie Making with Clips, Song Creation with GarageBand, Art and Design with Procreate, and Coding with Sphero. The ability to lead these sessions requires knowledge of each program as well the ability to engage kids. While doing this, I also helped my peers with strategies for working with kids. Most of the facilitators are used to teaching adults and found my insight helpful. Show less

My student teaching experience did not go the way I had expected. About halfway through my practicum, schools closed due to COVID-19. Prior to this, I had been working my way to taking over the fifth grade class I was in. Social studies had been completely under my charge, while I was working towards taking over science for the entire fifth grade. When schools closed, I recognized it was necessary to pivot and change every expectation I had for student teaching. As Quincy transitioned to distance learning, I created a website that housed an entire research project for the students to complete. The project lasted four weeks and engaged the entire fifth grade. Attached is a link to this website which includes the lessons and student work samples. Show less

    • Monitor Teaching Assistant
      • Oct 2016 - Jun 2017

During my time as a monitor teaching assistant at the Raymond School, I was able to work with students in kindergarten through fourth grade. I provided both push-in and pull-out services for students in each grade. Push-in services were on a one to one basis, while pull-out services were anywhere from 2:1 to 10:1. While in this role, I was able to attend several team meetings which gave me the opportunity to work with many different staff members and teachers as well as parents and family members of my students.
