I was responsible for managing a team of 4, supervising prescriptions, managing stocks of over-the-counter and prescription drugs; including controlled. As Supervisor I implemented a new strategy in order to reduce mistakes during a medical prescription release, with very meaningful results. I had the opportunity to develop and improve my knowledge regarding the several steps required for the introduction of a new drug in the hospital environment, how to assess its relevance against the alternatives already available, how to gather all the required information in order to formulate an accurate judgment and provide relevant feedback… Show more Two months of close contact with several aspects of Pharmacy Hospital from regulatory affairs to clinical trials and patients' medication management. I had the opportunity to develop and improve my knowledge regarding the several steps required for the introduction of a new drug in the hospital environment, how to assess its relevance against the alternatives already available, how to gather all the required information in order to formulate an accurate judgment and provide relevant feedback to the senior pharmacists. I was also able to get a better understanding of the different stages of clinical trials and how they are conducted within the hospital environment. I conducted medications checks considering the patient's pathology and comorbidities that could affect the patient's ability to safely metabolize the drugs and suggested dose adjustments and medication replacement whenever it would be necessary.
