I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Catalin Georgescu over the course of 1999 and again in the fall of 2001 while providing assistance as part of the US Treasury Department’s technical assistance effort with the Ministry of Finance of Romania. During these periods Mr. Georgescu served as my interpreter and, during assignments outside of Bucharest, as my program assistant. His language skills were excellent and he easily bridged cultural barriers to ensure complete understanding on both my part and the parts of my counterparts. Mr. Georgescu always took the initiative to ensure that our efforts moved smoothly and that our goals were met. He was a highly motivated individual with a great interest in self-improvement, approaching every task with confidence but also with a mind open to learning new things. Mr. Georgescu also provided IT assistance to the project. While he did not provide any assistance directly to me, I did observe that when the project had a need or ran into a problem that he was highly responsive and worked diligently to ensure that the need was met or the problem solved. In my experience, Mr. Georgescu always showed commitment to his work and diligence in achieving the highest level of quality.

Personally I was responsible for developing the digital and microprocessor controlled part of these apparatus. In the beginning this meant designing and producing everything, includind the PCB, testing and debugging the h/w, as well as writing the s/w. Later we bought the SBC and did only the programming.
