Catalina mentored me on The Coding Mentor project and gave me valuable advice on how to get into tech industry and find my first job. She was encouraging and knowledgeable both professionally and personally. I really appreciate Catalina spending time to mentor me.

When Catalina joined everskill as Mobile Team Lead, I had already worked there for some months developing the Android app. From the very beginning, she had a great impact on the whole team at various levels. Technically speaking, Cata is an expert on many fields. Despite the fact that she was the only iOS developer, she was able to complete all the tasks she was asked for and besides help the Android team if we were tight on time or didn’t have enough knowledge about something. Moreover, she also improved noticeably our processes regarding code version handling and automation. These changes didn’t stop at the beginning though: along the months she kept learning continuously and introducing new technologies and tools to the team. To me, she was specially a mentor. During her whole time at everskill, she took very good care of my progress. We had weekly meetings where she would advice me about my professional career, teach me concepts that I did not understand, listen to my concerns and a long etcetera. Even when she couldn’t explain me something immediately, she would take the time to learn it and explain it to me next time. What I appreciated most was her patience and support. Cata is one of the friendliest persons that I know, which made it very comfortable for me to work with her every day and not hesitate to ask or tell her anything I needed. When I had an idea or I wanted something to change, she made it very easy for me to share that with her and she always supported me afterwards when talking about it with the rest of the team. As an amazing team-worker, very competitive and enthusiast person, I can definitely say we were very lucky to have Catalina among us for one year and a half and I hope our paths cross again at some point in the future. If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me. Kind regards, Marcos Candela Botí marcoscandela10@gmail.com
